1992 – 1998 Studied Protestant theology and Jewish studies in Erlangen and Jerusalem

1998 – 2000 Vicar in the Lutheran Church in Bavaria (Reichenschwand)

2000 – 2009 Research assistant to professor of practical theology in Erlangen

2001 Ordained as minister of the Lutheran Church in Bavaria

2005 Doctorate (Dr. theol.) with a thesis on the sermon in Judaism and Christianity

2009 – 2011 Head of the Centre for Protestant Preaching of the EKD (German Protestant Church) in Lutherstadt Wittenberg
